    Fellowshipping with believers of diverse backgrounds... Romans 16 says to greet various saints in their homes. This is more than just saying Hello. This is the fellowship in Christ that knits us together in love; the Body of Christ expressed.
    ... That seems to be the gist of the speaking and it is very rich!
    I wonder, What is the way to avoid getting snagged into a doctrinal debate?

    In Nigeria, a really good member of an institutional church attends church 8 times a week! If you are a really good member of an IC, there is no way you will have time for anything else. So, while it is nice to want to look at the ICs in a positive way and assume they can exist alongside the Ekklesia, the practical reality, at least in my country, is that the ICs have taken up both the identity and the function of the Ekklesia and there is just no way the status quo can remain and we will ever see a true organic expression of the ekklesia in various localities. To buttress this, I'll like to ask Henry, for those in his circle of influence who really have caught the vision of the Ekklesia and are gathering with saints from house to house, how many of such saints are able to still remain in an IC and function there? I find it difficult, almost impossible to be able to retain my membership in an IC and still flow actively in the assembling of believers from house to house. The flourishing of one will be the demise of the other. To have a situation where both can co-exist is to have the ICs reborn, not in its present state.
